Softball tournament raises over $1,600

For over eleven years, the Bronco Federal Credit Union Greenbacks have been giving of their time to make the Franklin / Southampton County Relay for Life a success. Each year they increase their goal for the team. The team’s personal goal is $5,000.
“We have a great team. They are creative with fundraising ideas. So far we have raised money by selling drink huggies, “Got Hope” t-shirts, a Thirty-One Party, Co-Ed Softball Tournament and Homerun Derby,” Stacy Story, Team Captain, enthusiastically stated.
The Softball Tournament and Homerun Derby raised $1,642. Overtime won 1st Place and Bandits won 2nd Place in the Softball Tournament. Homerun Derby winners were Tonya Thornton and Michael Yeary. “Cancer doesn’t sleep and we want to make a difference in finding a Cure. We were excited so many teams played in the tournament” Story stated.
